Push & Pull
Push & Pull places the handle at the centre of bag design. Initially approached as a simple functional element, it gradually becomes the principle that determines the volume, shape and transformation of each piece.
The research considers how we grasp, carry and move objects, as well as the physical relationship between hand, handle and bag. By making this usually secondary element the starting point of the project, the collection develops new uses and constructions in which function no longer follows form but directly produces it.
