Wearable Compagnons
Mon travail explore le lien émotionnel entre les personnes et les vêtements qu’elles portent.
Je considère la mode non pas comme une simple production de biens matériels, mais comme un terrain fertile pour donner corps à ce besoin affectif qui nous lie aux objets, à travers des « compagnons à porter ». Tout comme on caresserait un chat, l’idée est d’encourager chacun à chérir ses vêtements, à en prendre soin et à les réparer plutôt qu’à les jeter.
Je plie, dessine et découpe le tissu en suivant les lignes tracées au crayon, puis je l’épingle directement sur le corps. Je sélectionne et crée mes propres textiles pour évoquer le pelage d’un animal, la peau d’un grand oiseau ou les ailes d’un papillon.
My work explores the emotional connection between people and what they wear.
I see fashion not as simply the production of material goods, but as fertile ground for personifying this emotional need that binds us to objects through the “wearable companions”. Just as one would pet a cat, the goal is to encourage people to cherish their clothes, take care of them and repair them rather than throw them away.
I fold, draw, and cut fabric along the pencil lines, then pin it to the body. I choose and create my fabrics to evoke the fur of an animal, the skin of a large bird, or the wings of a butterfly.
