At the end of the day
At the end of the day takes the atelier as its starting point, focusing on what remains once the garments are finished: offcuts, pattern pieces and traces of the making process. Tim Kaiser approaches the atelier not only as a place of production but also as a space of craftsmanship, creativity and transmitted knowledge.
The collection is developed entirely through patternmaking, treated here as a design language in its own right. By enlarging, shifting and transforming established constructions, particularly collars and pockets, the project develops its own cutting logic and generates new threedimensional forms from the flat pattern.
