Anamorphoses
Anamorphoses follows characters dressing for a bourgeois dinner and initially negotiating the rules of etiquette. As they continue trying on clothes, the dinner gradually recedes into the background: garments become instruments of play, transformation and fiction. The characters dress up, experiment with new identities and move away from the image they were expected to inhabit.
Out of this succession of fittings emerges the idea of a surreal ball, both utopian and fantastical. The collection turns the act of dressing into a space in which norms can be shifted and reinvented.
