L’autre main

L’autre main brings two bodies into coexistence: one living, walking and lending its gestures; the other inert, yet placed at the centre of the gaze. The first gradually recedes in service of what it carries and animates. Through a personal exploration of latex, Antoine Panabière works with this reversal between the performing body and the performed body.

The project shifts our perception of what acts and what is looked at. A familiar silhouette emerges, yet it is crossed by a strangeness lodged within the very gesture that brings it to life.
