La collection seconda opportunità est tirée d’une expérience personnelle : une transformation corporelle. L’affinement d’un corps devient le point de départ de son élaboration. D’anciens vêtements trop grands et délaissés sont déconstruits, reconstruits, puis détournés pour créer de nouvelles manières d’adapter l’archétype du vestiaire masculin à ce nouveau corps. L’injonction de se conformer à une forme de beauté instaurée par la norme est remise en cause. Le bourrelet et la vergeture, considérés comme défauts corporels par notre société, sont réinterprétés par la matière et mis en valeur à travers un travail de coupe, de drapé et d’imprimé. Seconda opportunità joue avec les codes du power dressing afin de donner une allure affirmée et un sentiment de bien-être à la personne qui endossera ces vêtements.
The Seconda opportunità collection is drawn from personal experience: a body transformation. The refinement of a body becomes the starting point for its elaboration. Old, oversized and neglected clothes are deconstructed, reconstructed and then appropriated to create new ways of adapting the archetypal male wardrobe to this new body. The injunction to conform to a form of beauty established by the norm is challenged. Bulges and stretch marks, considered as bodily defects by our society, are reinterpreted by the material and highlighted through a work of cut, drape and print. Seconda opportunità plays with the codes of “power dressing” in order to give an assertive look and a feeling of well-being to the person who will wear these clothes.
